Sam Altman Seeks $7 Trillion for AI Chips

Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, is trying to collect more than $7 trillion. This includes some funds from the UAE. His goal is to change the way computer chips are made.

He also wants to solve the shortage that is holding back AI improvements. He plans to increase chip production across the world and make AI better. He will work with investors, chip makers, and energy companies to do this.

This huge project will cost much more than what the entire chip industry is worth today. It might also mean borrowing money to cover these expenses.

The FCC bans AI-voiced robocalls

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has banned robocalls that use AI to mimic human voices. Now, state attorneys general can legally fight against this.

AI voices are treated like any fake or prerecorded voice under the law, limiting their use in non-emergency situations without permission first.

This decision by the FCC is to stop scams and false information spread by these AI voice calls. It gives state attorneys more power to enforce these rules.
