This chip is designed to let people who can't move their arms and legs use devices just by thinking about it. The chip is small, goes inside the brain, and works without wires.
While Neuralink hopes to one day use the technology to connect people's thoughts with computers, right now they are focusing on helping those with certain health problems.
Qwen-VL (From China) Outperforms GPT-4V and Gemini
Developed by Chinese giant Alibaba, Qwen-VL-Max beats OpenAI's GPT-4V and Google's Gemini in understanding and answering questions in Chinese.
If true (yes I'm doubtful), it's a big step forward in AI, especially in working with different types of data like images and text.
According to their github blog post, The latest versions of Qwen-VL-Plus and Max are not only great at tests, but also better at real-world tasks. They can talk, recognize famous people and places, write text, and are much better at describing and making sense of pictures.
