Bank of England: AI won't take our jobs

The Bank of England's governor, Andrew Bailey, told the BBC that Artificial Intelligence (AI) won't massively destroy jobs, as humans will learn to work alongside new technologies.

Governor Andrew Bailey said while there are risks with AI, "there is great potential with it". He believes economies and jobs adapt, and combining human and machine efforts yields better results.

He commented as businesses reported AI helping manage recruitment and labor costs, and as the House of Lords committee encouraged focusing on AI's positive aspects rather than just its risks.

Zuckerberg to become AI God King

Mark Zuckerberg's Meta has seen a significant financial boost, with profits soaring to $14 billion, and now focusing on virtual reality and AI, aiming to be a leader in these areas.

Zuckerberg, in an earnings call, mentioned Meta's strong position in AI, competing with major players like OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google.

He emphasized that Meta has a unique advantage with access to vast amounts of data from billions of users on Facebook and Instagram. This includes countless public photos, videos, and text posts, which surpasses the data volume of Common Crawl, a large web-scraped dataset.

Zuckerberg highlighted this user-generated content as a crucial resource for Meta's AI development.
